Black Rock Retreat approached Engel Architects with the need to expand its main building to handle more programs and a greater quantity of visitors. The resulting expansion takes advantage of the wooded site to provide wonderful views, including from a one-hundred-foot deck. Faux wood beams and a stone fireplace create a warm atmosphere in the lobby, and there are a number of meeting rooms to accommodate multiple users.
