Bethany Grace Fellowship
(formerly Bethany Mennonite Church) employed Engel Architects
to create a two-phase expansion to its 1970's era building.
The first phase addition, a multi-purpose Family Life Center
and classrooms, was designed to complement the existing front
façade, incorporating cost-saving oversize brick. The
Family Life Center will serve as the sanctuary during the
second phase of construction and thus the large "cross"
window was needed to add a liturgical element to a pragmatic
space. Bidding from a select list of contractors enabled the
church to obtain multiple prices while retaining control of
the quality of the work.
