Bethany
Grace Fellowship (formerly Bethany Mennonite Church) employed
Engel Architects to create a two-phase expansion to its 1970's
era building. The first phase addition, a multi-purpose Family
Life Center and classrooms, was designed to complement the
existing front façade, incorporating cost-saving oversize
brick. The Family Life Center faces the main road and thus the large
"cross" window was needed to add a liturgical element
to a pragmatic space. The second phase included a 500 seat
sanctuary over a large Fellowship Hall, and the renovation
of the old sanctuary for classrooms.
